Warren Transport, Inc.

Warren Transport, Inc. (Waterloo, Ia.) and contractor, Steven J. Recker, were honored by Recker's placement in the Top 10 in the Truckload Carriers Association's "Independent Contractor of the Year" contest.

Recker achieved 6th place in the prestigious national contest. He has been with Warren for over 22 years and in his 30 years of professional driving has compiled more than 2.7 million accident-free miles. Other awards Recker has received include Iowa Motor Truck Association's Iowa Driver of the Year. He was also named to Iowa's Road Team where he meets industry leaders and makes public appearances meeting with legislators, school children, and service clubs. Recker also takes time to work with local charitable organizations and responds to national disasters.

The TCA is the largest truckload carrier group in the nation. Recker has been selected to the Top 10 several times in the last several years. They are regarded as the "Best of the Best". Clayton Fisk, Warren vice president of safety, credits Warren's safety success to "the total effort of the company, and that reflects management's commitment."
