Warren Transport, Inc.

(Las Vegas, Nv.) The Truckload Carriers Association honored Warren Transport, Inc. (Waterloo, Iowa) contractor, Robert J. McCray, in the national "Independent Contractor of the Year" contest at their recent annual convention. The event, sponsored by the TCA, represents approximately a thousand commercial motor carriers that comprise tens of thousands of tractor/trailers and drivers. The award is one of the most prestigious in the nation. The panel that selects the winners consists of major suppliers, government regulatory people, insurance groups, and others who conduct thorough investigations and reviews. The award represents less than 1% of the best of the best in the nation.

Robert McCray was awarded 2nd place. He has been with Warren Transport 16 years and in this professional career has driven an amazing three million accident-free miles. The award is not only for safety but is for his participation and activities in his community and elsewhere. He and his wife, Donna, participate in an array of charitable causes and events. He was also awarded a 2006 Outstanding Professional Driver award by the Iowa Motor Truck Association.

Warren's president, Robert Molinaro, attributes Warren's safety success to "the total organization, because safety is everyone's business."
